This guide will show you how to access another person’s calendar or other folder in Outlook. -
How to
Note: Before you can access the other person's mailbox data, they will have to grant permissions to you.- The person who wants to share with you will send initiate the sharing. This will generate an email to you.
- Open Outlook.
- Look in the inbox. The folder sharing email needs to have been received. Click on Open this Calendar.
- You should now see the other user’s folder.
Note: If you use the "Open Other User's Folder" method as outlined, only the primary Outlook folders (Contacts, Inbox, Journal, Notes, Tasks) may be accessed; subfolders are not available. In order to access folders other than Primary Outlook Folders, you must share the entire mailbox.
